Originally founded in 1976 by Ivan Celar, Baseline Collision started in a modest 2000 sq ft shop. Ivan, a Slovenian immigrant worked tirelessly quickly building a reputation for quality and service. Ivan soon found himself extremely busy and added his son Dan to the fold teaching him the skills of the trade. In 1977, Dan purchased shares in the company and became his father’s partner. Over the years the family run business grew serving many dealerships in the Durham Region and received “preferred” repair facility status with several Insurance companies.

After Ivan retired in 1994, his son Tony Celar left his aviation career to become Dan’s partner. The team of brothers began expanding the business again to an 8000 sq ft shop,  with a 500 sq ft. office in the front, hiring a full time secretary and more technicians. In 2002 Mark Krupa came from his car rental agency across the hall and became a third partner. When Mark joined Baseline Collision, he brought his love of custom cars and a renewed commitment to detail.

In 2005, Tony left Baseline to pursue personal interests. Today, Dan’s knowledge of the industry and years in the business combined with Mark’s passion, Baseline Collision has become a household name you can trust.

Baseline Collision is located in an 8500 sq ft facility on the its’ original premises. Baseline Collision is recognized across Durham Region as an industry leader in Collision Repair with an extensive clientele. Our state of the art facility is located at 1019 Toy Avenue in Pickering, Ontario and provides professional and specialized quality services, within efficient time frames and at reasonable prices. Baseline Collision takes pride in providing exceptional service to all our clients. We have a team of Administrative Staff including fully trained estimators and customer service representatives. Our Repair Technicians are top quality professionals who take pride in the work they do.

Over the last few years we have improved our repair facility immensely installing a new Down Draft paint booth with a bake cycle that increases our production and quality. We also have a renewed commitment to the environment, by being one of the first shops to switch to a Waterborne paint system and being V.O.C compliant.
